Jogyesa Templestay, 2 weeks before Buddha's Birthday...

Preparing lanterns to be hung over the Temple...

Some of these ones were made by me!

A hot Sunday in Seoul called for a walk along the Cheonggyecheon Stream... joining the stream from the Gwangtonggyo bridge...

Part of the largest ceramic wall painting in the world, the 'Banchado', a painting of King Jeongjo's Royal Procession.

An image of former Korean women at the 'Historic Laundry site'...

Took a random detour just past Dongdaeumun in search of food... this bizarre shop front caight my eye...

The traditional and only available food in the area was Ox intestines. It was surprisingly good, after you got over the fact you were eating Ox intestines...

The 'Wall of Hope', expresses the North/South Korean division. It's made up of tiles created by 20,000 Seoul residents, people from 5 North Korean provinces and ovesea's Koreans hoping for unification. It spreads for 50 metres either side of the stream.

Gyeongbokgung Palace...

Just outside the palace entrance, was a tiny museum, it had this sculpture on its rooftop...

Buddha's Birthday Lantern Festival

Buddha's Birthday was on the 21st May. The Sunday before there was a huge festival in Seoul, based around Jogyesa Temple...

I loved this cute little Buddha dolls, unfortunately they were only for children...

Some of the costumes were amazing, especially these Pompom hats.

Taking photos of moving people is something I need to improve on...
