Chuseok
Chuseok is a major Korea holiday, it is most similar to American Thanksgiving mixed with Harvest festival. It's focus is on food, spending timing with family and remembering those who have passed on. For foreign teachers in Korea it's about 4 days off work, the recieving of various random presents (peanut butter crackers and seaweed) and going on the tourist trail..... as well as eating some fabulous food and bonding with our new 'Korean families'!
